Read the recent article from the city Paper about Mike the cat crusader. We are going to TNR the first set of many cats on November 10 in an attempt to help control the population of his colonies. Please help and donate anything you can, for every $20 you donate one of Mike's cats will receive a spay or neuter, shots and an ear tip!

Thanks for your help with this project!

ReLove Animals is dedicated to educating the public on basic animal responsibility. We believe that through education, most animals issues can be amended. We feel that the key to ending this madness is the education of not only the public, but the youth. Children understand things at a more basic level, and with educating them from a young age..basic animal responsibility will be instilled within them to teach their peers and eventually their children.

We are also developing two very exciting programs....

The ReLove Pet Store Project

This is an exciting program we are developing that will help pet SELLING pet stores to transition over to a humane business model.  We will help the store by acting as liaisons to a network of shelters and rescues.   Our staff at ReLove is experienced, and can also help with PR, merchandising, advertising, business advisement and community outreach.

Our goal is to make this an easy and welcomed transition for the store that will improve their status with their community, enable them to increase their customer base by including those who before.. would only support humane businesses, find new avenues for revenue as well as networking.

We believe that most pet store puppies come from puppy mills (a statistic that has been proven so many times it's only disputed by the stores selling them) and the only way to end sales that contribute to the puppy mill industry is to make the general public aware of where those "small USDA breeder" puppies are REALLY coming from. Please see our resource page for links on this information and how you can get involved.

The ReLove Education for Responsibility Project

This is an even more exciting program that is currently in development. We are working alongside board certified teachers to develop an educational program that can be implemented into schools so that all our wonderful children can learn the basic concepts of pet responsibility.

We feel that there are many households that are not teaching this to their children, and every child needs to understand that they are stewards of animal welfare. This is a common basic concept that is often missed by a large majority of the children, some more than others.

We want them to understand the basic concepts of  abuse and overpopulation and how they can play a major role in amending that for their future.

There will be age appropriate material for all ages. In the future we hope to have groups in each school of student who want to get involved by providing support for one another, shelters and animals in their community.
